Install Driver For Printer

- Download the file. select the location of the file that is already stored.

What file?
Extract the PPD file from an OSX download, you can use the linux driver for other printers like the C2270 for linux - if you can find it - filename used to be fxlinuxprint-src-1.0.1.tar.
DeleteYou can use a modern zip tool to extract the dmg file.
List of apple drivers for printer can be found from apple. Virustotal says link is ok.

Select the "Payload" file when extracting - there should be Content and then PPD
copy the driver across to the cups installation directory to something like:
/usr/share/cups/model/FujiXerox/en/fxcp305ps.ppd
Now try and install the printer – It may give an error about a filter, if so, then remove the line from the ppd file. Alternatively, there was an older version of FX printer drivers which have a pstopdffx filter software which can be compiled and installed and added to the file, but is should work without it.
